Waking up to Grace Ministries

Celebrating and Exploring the finished work of our Lord, Jesus Christ. The Waking up to Grace Podcast.

Galatians 2:21 (NIV)  “I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, then Christ died for nothing!”

Romans 11:6 (NIV) “And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.”

The New Covenant promise of Jesus Christ is clear and simple. The promise is that we have been made perfect forever, our sins are forgiven as far as the East is from the West, our sins will be remembered no more. We have been made free in Christ because of His righteousness, and given new life because of His resurrection.

While looking at the struggles the apostles faced when teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ it is not all that surprising that there are so many unanswered questions in today’s Christian doctrines.

Am I good enough for heaven? Will I go to hell if I keep on sinning? Can I work my way to heaven? Why was Jesus so harsh in his “sermon on the mount”? What is the old covenant vs the new covenant? What is Law vs Grace? Can I be out of fellowship with God? Should Christians ask God for forgiveness? Is confession necessary? Will Christians face judgement?

The list goes on and on…..

There is a world of information out there when it comes to Christianity, especially here in the U.S., but we are mostly stuck with double talk when it comes to our relationship with the Lord, our new identity as believers, and the security and finality of the work of Jesus Christ.

At Waking up to Grace you can expect to learn about our Lord Jesus with nothing added or taken away. Our focus is on the work of Jesus Christ, the new covenant, and eternal life in Him that starts now- not later. We don’t have to wait for heaven to experience the life of Christ, and we cannot work our way into His love and acceptance. The Christian is loved and accepted already.

We are excited to hear from you and welcome your questions and insight. Let’s build each other up in Christ Jesus!

Our ministry focus is on knowing Christ Jesus, encouraging one another in truth, and exploring the depths of God’s amazing grace.

We stand in opposition to religious legalism loaded with rules and regulations. We hold to what the bible teaches us in it’s proper context, that God’s grace is free, it has no boundaries, it cannot be contained by rules and regulations. The scripture tells us that grace teaches us all that we need, that the spirit of God will guide us, do you believe it?

We believe that Christ Jesus is the center of all history, that we started counting our calendar days after His life for a reason. Human history is divided by the cross of Christ.

The fruits of the Law are death, condemnation, and an increase in sin. The fruit of the Spirit is life and the ability to please God, be right with God, and obtain self control. So why do Christians cling to religious mandates and sermons of guilt looking to get closer to God? Why are we not embracing the gift we have been given? It is sin to believe we can earn our salvation or right standing with God by our works. That belief does not come from faith, and anything that does not come from faith is sin.

We believe that a true understanding of the cross of Jesus Christ, and the finality of His work, allows us to fully experience His promised resurrection life in us, now and forever. His life living in us and through us, and us in him, is the “Christian life” and that truth is what sets us free!

We agree with the apostle Paul and set aside grace for nothing.
